Living Green Using Trolley Bags!! BergHOFF @trolleybagsusa

The older I get the more I realize I not only want to teach my grandkids how to be kind to the Earth we live in but also set an example on how to save our resources. Even small steps will make a big difference. I started taking my own bags to the grocery store to save from using plastic ones, I know this isn’t a big step but every little bit helps!

Since then I was introduced to the Trolley Bags. I love how easy to use and store these bags are. First, you roll them up when not in use and when you need them again you just roll them out and place them in the grocery cart. After your shopping is done you can separate them by simply pulling them apart. They are connected with velcro making it easy to separate them for the cashier.

They come in a variety of sizes to help cover all of your grocery shopping needs. I love having my refrigerated foods in one bag and personal items separated in another bag. There is nothing like getting home from the grocery store to find a refrigerated item stuck in the middle of a bag of personal items. I don’t have to stress how the “bagger” will separate my groceries anymore since it is done already. These really help make those dreaded shopping trips easier and more organized.

The Trolley Bag sets come in different sizes for light shoppers or heavy shoppers. They also offer different color sets. If you like the idea of green living you should check these out!

ClearPop Rapid Earache Relief

I have always hated an earache. As an adult, it hurts, unlike any pain I have ever felt. I really dislike it when my son gets an earache. I always felt so bad and helpless, until now! The first time I realized my son was grabbing his ear and was in pain I called the doctor and requested an appointment immediately.

Since then I have found ClearPop Rapid Earache Relief, I no longer have to stress over another earache. ClearPop is an over the counter treatment. It is easy to use by simply sucking on it like a sucker.

How it Works:

Only ClearPop works from inside the mouth to effectively and safely unblock the ear and Eustachian tube for immediate pain relief without medicines. Often over-prescribed, antibiotics treat the infection but can take 24-48 hours to work, don’t directly address pain, and can have potential side effects. Analgesics only mask the pain but don’t treat the underlying issue. Externally applied drops and solutions are ineffective because they can’t penetrate to the middle ear where the problem originates. ClearPop actually stops earache pain where it starts!

Rock A Bye #Rockabyerocker

There is nothing that makes me happier than to see my grandbabies with a smile on their face!! They can light up a room with their little laughter. I love watching them learn and experience life, every day is something new. I was so excited for my youngest grandson, Ivan, to try out the new Rock A Bye Colt Pony Rocker. This rocker is so cute and fluffy, he loved sitting on it and rocking! Then he realized there were different shapes he could push for different songs to play.

Ivan has just turned 1 year old. He is a very brave little one who loves to try and do everything his older brother does. He was so excited when he saw his new toy! We were curious to see if he would get on it by himself, and sure enough, it wasn’t long before he accomplished that!

These rockers have color and shape buttons you can press to play different songs while you rock. I love working with him on the colors and shapes. As a former teacher any toy that they can learn from is A+ in my book.

He also received the Homer Baseball Chair Rocker, this one is so cute, you sit in the glove to rock. This rocker has ABC & 123 songs that you can rock to while learning! I love how proud Ivan is that he can crawl right up on it and fit in the glove. He will fuss at us when we try to get him off of them!

The age group for the rockers is 9 months to around 3 years (or 80 pounds). Because they are light weight you pick them up and move them around easily. There are a ton of designs to choose from and you can even have them personalized! Right now they are 50% off so hurry while they last. These rockers are very well made and will last a long time! They would make great Easter gifts!!

Rock A Bye

Never Too Hungover @Never2Hungovr

This is a sponsored post, although this is 100% my opinion.

You would think at my age I would know when to stop drinking so much, but when you are having too much fun, it is hard for me to find a stopping point…

We attend a lot of parties and as usual the next day I spent most of the day trying to recover. After finding and trying Never Too Hungover, I soon learned, I can have my cake and eat it too! I now take a container and my first drink is alway mixed with Never Too Hungover.

The flavor is quite yummy, which makes it easy to use as a mix or just drinking it on my way to the party!!

Good thing I found an easy fix!! Never Too Hungover is my go to help. You can take it before or during when you drink as a preventative.  It is a healthy vitamin blend with no sugar or caffeine. Best hangover remedy!

Never Too Hungover is a healthy vitamin blend that helps neutralize toxins, restores vital nutrients and rehydrates the body.

I can’t even imagine not having this in my life, I spent too long not being prepared for the day after. This not only helps me feel just fine the next day but it helps me accomplish so much since I am not wasting the day away recovering!

National Geographic Kids Leveled Readers #Momsmeet

I received this product from Moms Meet for review purposes, this is 100% my own opinion.

As a former middle school teacher, I can you tell you personally the difference between kids that were read to and kids that were not. Not only was their vocabulary a lot better, but they also showed a better understanding.  Children who are read to display a more curious mind and are more willing to ask questions. They learn from a young age that books tell stories and are informative.

Our grandchildren love when Mimi and Poppy read to them. They absorb everything we read. I can tell they listen because they take that information and use it later. Our oldest grandson is really interested in animals right now so we were excited to introduce the National Geographic Kids Leveled Readers to him.

The first thing they do when they come to visit is run find their favorite National Geographic for Kids Leveled Book for us to read. I usually end up reading several of them before their visit is up. They love the vibrant colors and how each book is so interesting. At the end of the book, it recaps what they learned, they love hollering out the answers, they even go to the page to show me they were right.

If you have a little one that loves to learn, or if you want to help them get ahead in school, reading is not only the best way but it will also help make wonderful memories with your little one! I recommend the National Geographic Kids Leveled Reading books. The are very reasonably priced! Their site also has free printables and also some very useful information, games, and videos!!

SMEAD Viewables Pocket Label & Mini Stadium File #Shoplet

I received this product for review purposes, although this is 100% my own opinion.

One of my goals this year is to become organized. I have never been a very organized person, even in college, I struggled. I even attended a class on “how to become and stay organized”. I knew this would be a challenge, but what I didn’t realize was that I would actually enjoy it.

I knew this would be a challenge especially for me! I love knowing exactly where I am going to place each paperwork I touch! Rather it is bills or receipts, I now have a spot for them.

I have found that with the right filing supplies, you can get and stay organized. I found that shopping at Shoplet I am able to find all the supplies I need at one place and with great prices!

The first thing I did was organized my paperwork in the office! I used the Viewables Pocket Label to label my files. I have everything labeled and files for them from Bills, receipt to donations files.

I use the Mini Stadium File to place all my current bills and other items that need to be addressed in that current month.  This is stackable file and works perfectly for envelopes!

This would be great for taxes and to help stay organized all year. Imagine having all of your paperwork together, how easy it would be to file taxes at the end of the year then!!

Shoplet also carries an assortment of office supplies, cleaning supplies, medical supplies, office furniture, and everything in between.

1) Office supplies
2) Cleaning supplies
3) Medical supplies
4) Office Furniture

Check them out, you will be glad you will be surprised at not only their awesome prices but their variety of items!!

The Day I Met Buster #poundpuppy

August 2007 in South Texas

I woke up to Ice on the ground, not just light frost type but thick ice everywhere. The schools and businesses were closed. You see in South Texas we don’t know how to drive on ice! I was ready to enjoy a day off when I get a call from my adult son who is in college and working part time, he sounded upset, I could tell in his voice something was wrong.

He proceeds to tell me, Eve, his Beagle is sick and no vets are open, so I said I will call around. I finally called Adopt a Pet and they said they had a vet coming in that day. Since Allen, my son had to go to work, he worked at a grass farm, I told him I would take Eve in to have her checked out.

I arrived with what seemed like 50 other pet parents who, like me, finally found a vet open that day, and all needed to be seen. I checked in and they took Eve to the back. I was told it would probably be a couple hours before they could see her. So I left. With nothing to do and nothing open, I decided to just go across the street to the public pound since it was the only other place opened around.

I was walking around looking at all these sad dogs feeling sick to my stomach when I noticed a tiny puppy in a corner freezing. He was shaking so bad and soaking wet and so very little.  So I marched up to the front and asked them if I could just see a dog, not get but dry off and try and help him. They opened the door and that little puppy ran straight up to me and peed on my shoe while he tried to climb in my lap. I put him down cause he was wet and asked about a towel. He didn’t let that stop him, he climbed on my lap again while I was kneeling down next to him.

I took him to the front office and asked again about a towel, as I dried him off he became silly running around me and jumping up in my lap. The office personnel called him but he wasn’t leaving my side. I asked if they could keep him in the front until it wasn’t so cold since he was so small and was told no. That he would be placed back in the pen after I left.

Needless to say, Buster came home with me that day!! He was too small to even have neutered. I kept thinking two things, what in the world was I thinking and what I was going to tell my husband!?!?!

I went back to Adopt A Pet and picked up Eve and medicine and took two dogs home. I fell in love that day and just knew my husband would too…. EVENTUALLY. When he got home, he first went on a long oh my conversation about how those type dogs bark all the time and don’t like people, you see my new fur baby was a Daschund. I didn’t even realize that until my husband pointed it out. The whole time Buster was on his shoes peeing. My husband bent down picked him up and fell in love too!

Buster has been in our family now for 10 years, he by far has been the best dog we have ever had. We have since bought another Daschund, Butch. You can tell the difference between them. Buster is so loving and appreciative of us rescuing him, but little does he know he rescued us. We love him so much!! If you have a choice always try the pound first, you will be amazed at how wonderful these animals are!!

Happy National Pancake Day!!

I was thrilled to wake up and realize it is National Pancake Day. I love any reason to not only spend time in the kitchen but have my grandson’s help me. We love to make a variety of pancakes in a variety of sizes. Just for fun today we made our baby, poppy and mickey pancakes!

I love to use any type of pancake mix, but one thing they must have is buttermilk! I was raised on buttermilk pancakes and to this day when I think about pancakes I remember our family’s Sunday morning breakfast time.

I do freeze my leftover pancakes, I hate to waste food! They are so easy to throw in the microwave they next time you want some and taste just as good!

Here are a few we made just for fun, as you can see we top our pancakes off with peanut butter!!

Our Mickey Mouse pancakes.

Poppy Size pancake.

Baby size pancakes!

IHop has free pancake stacks today for a donation. All the money raised is donated, so if you don’t feel like making your own, head that way for a good cause!

I received information to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

Coming March 14 @ Wal-mart

I am so excited about this DVD coming to Walmart on the 14th of this month! I loved the first movie, The Gospel of John.

I will get to watch The Gospel of Mark, with my grandsons who are old enough to enjoy it also. It is such a wonderful family oriented movie! It depicts God’s life through Mark’s eyes. It is a must see. I can’t wait to share it with my children’s church also!!

Following last year’s The Gospel of John comes the second installment in the renowned Gospel film series, The Gospel of Mark, arriving on DVD at Walmart, Digital HD and On Demand March 14 from Lionsgate. Just in time for Easter, the second book of The New Testament comes to life for the first time with a truly unique, word-for-word adaptation that uses the Gospel narrative as its script. Shot on location in Morocco with consultation from expert theologians and biblical scholars and produced by the Lumo Project, the film was given the Dove Faith Friendly Seal for 12+. The Gospel of Mark DVD is packed with behind-the-scenes bonus features and will be available for the suggested retail price of $14.98.

According to The Gospel of Mark, Jesus is a heroic man of action, an exorcist, healer, and miracle worker — the Son of God who keeps his identity secret. This critically acclaimed, epic production — five years in the making — is based on the latest theological, historical, and archaeological research, and offers an unforgettable, highly authentic telling of the Jesus story — ending with the empty tomb, a promise to meet again in Galilee, and Jesus’s instructions to spread the good news of the resurrection.

#UpSpringBaby UpSpring Probiotic & Colostrum #ad

“This review was made possible by iConnect andUpSpring.  I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.”

It is such a joy to bring a new baby into the world,  I love watching him sleep and learn new adventures every day. Having a new baby is exciting and very scary. When I became a first-time mom I was determined to only use natural items with my son!

Of course finding these items were not always easy, especially ones that worked! I found this out quick when my son starting having tummy issues. Having a baby who has digestive issues can be overwhelming! Fortunately, there is UpSpring Probiotic & Colostrum to alleviate the digestive problems and help new parents! This was a lifesaver to my family! Saved us from having sleepless nights. Every time we had to change his formula we had to start giving him UpSpring to help his tummy issues.

This company is founded from mom’s themselves. It is made of all-natural products that are perfect for your littles one’s issues. Whether it is constipation, gas or even diarrhea it works great! I was so excited to have found out about it but after using it I was in love. My son became the happy go lucky baby he was before the tummy issues.

Upspring Probiotic & Colostrum is available at Walgreens, Target or online here. It is very easy to find and worth every penny!

It is always best to have some on hand because you never know when your little one will need it. I always hated to see mine suffer when they were little. Usually, it was due to tummy issues. We found this out the hard way.

#Ozeri ProMax 550 lbs Digital Bathroom Scale

This year has been fun for us. I decided to dedicate this year to having fun and getting healthier since I will be turning the big “50” this year.  I am drinking more water, eating healthier, having more fun and walking!

I really believe being less stressed and having more fun has been my biggest pro. I have noticed so far I have lost 10 pounds and feel 100% better.

I am using the Ozeri ProMax 550 lbs Digital Bath Scale to help monitor my weight loss!

If you are in the market for a new scale you should check them out!!

2017 Mardi Gras Next years dos and don’ts

This year was by far the best Mardi Gras I have ever been to. First, we had no kids!! So we got to enjoy it completely. Second, we went to Lafayette instead of New Orleans so it was a calmer crowd. We got to enjoy 4 different parades, we ate king cake and got to watch Wayne Toups.

Mardi Gras originated in Alabama, I didn’t know that!! We lived in Baton Rouge for 5 years and took the kids to parades but I spent most of the time catering to them. That is why this year was so great! They are grown now with children of their own and we are choosing to have an active fun year!!

We enjoyed people watching, such a variety of people attend Mardi Gras. In Louisiana, schools are closed on Fat Tuesday. We met a lot of fun people from Cajun to Creole a local said to me “any reason to party and we are there”. They seem to thrive on being a state who loves to party!

This man was wearing “breasts” and apparently, everyone loved it because he wracked up with beads!!

Even Elvis was there enjoying the fun!!

This was a news crew who set up right in front of us to broadcast the parades.

What I learned was must haves:

Sunscreen

Water

Snack

Cooler

Step Stool

Comfy Shoes

Comfy Clothes

Bring a bag for beads

What Not To Do:

Arrive late, parking was horrible

Go alone, people who live there know the ins and outs

Get drunk, you will miss out on so much

Get too hot

Do not go toward the end of the parade, head to the front or middle
