This time of year is usually a mixed emotional time for my family. Two years ago in December, we lost our grandmother to cancer. The year before that we lost our aunt to cancer. Our grandmother didn’t even realize she had cancer until she was diagnosed with stage 4. She lived about 6 months before she passed. I watched her go through chemo and radiation. She slowly lost her fight. After I told my family about a friend of mine who chose alternative cancer treatment and how her cancer is now undetectable, my mother, sisters and I decided we are going to learn all we can about living cancer free.
The old saying that knowledge is power is so true. We mourn the loss of both my grandmother and aunt but are so happy to know we are educated enough to fight this disease if it continues to attack our family. If you or a loved one are fighting this ugly disease you need to read this story about Peggy. It is not only such an inspiring story but so educational. You do have alternatives and never ever have to give up. You see Peggy was sent home to die, just like my grandmother, yet instead, Peggy decided to educate herself and fight cancer naturally. Now 10 years later she has had no signs of cancer. I wish I had been this informed when we learned about my grandmother’s diagnosis.
The Cancer Free Living site offers so much information, you can learn foods to eat, habits and symptoms. You can never be too careful. I go once a year to get my mammogram and to be checked, so far we are doing what is needed to prevent this ugly disease from visiting our family again!!
