Boost your Self-Confidence

Not all of us can be the star of the show all the time. Some of us like to take a back seat and allow others to hold the limelight. However, have you thought about your motivation behind this mindset? Do you lack confidence? Do you find that you sometimes really want to say something, but always hold it back? Life is not easy at times. Many of us have really busy lives, and we are constantly juggling a thousand things at once. Perhaps, you don’t want the limelight because you are unhappy with something. A few extra pounds, for example. It is perfectly natural to feel as if you just want to hide sometimes, but that should not be how you live every moment. You need to go through the low period, tackle all your demons, and get back to a high period. There is only one way to do this, and that is to work on you. It may seem a little selfish, especially if you have children, but the reality is if you are showing the children a timid, un-confident person, they may end up not respecting you, or worse, ending up un-confident themselves. You need to focus on you, to give the right message to your children, and everyone else, show that you mean business.

Take some time out

You need a sanctuary. Somewhere you can go for ten minutes or half an hour every day to get away from it all and relax and unwind. This is so important for your health, both mentally and physically. Stress can build up and, over time, can have a devastating effect. If you can just get away from it all and disappear into that private space, you will feel so much better. Perhaps you could benefit from learning how to meditate. If you are continually battling thoughts, you may need a new perspective. Time out will, first of all, give you the space to reflect upon things. You may be able to start prioritizing the things in your life. If you are overwhelmed by the amount of stuff going on, you may need to think about what you can cut out. Becoming more mindful, and trying to understand your own motivations behind behaving in specific ways will help you no end. If you can build a better way of thinking, it will help you in so many ways.

Start saying No

It is not your responsibility to fix the problems of the world. If people constantly ask you for favors, this could be work colleagues or friends and acquaintances, and you have a habit of saying yes, you have got to be strong and say no. Overloading yourself with other people’s tasks is not good. You need to prioritize yourself, your family, and your life. This is not selfish. This is common sense. If you are running around after other people all the time, who is going to be there for your children. You and they should be first. Being a people pleaser does not earn you any respect. In fact, quite the opposite is true. You are being used and taken advantage of. So start saying no, and you will feel the power of this word, as every time you say it a load is taken off your shoulders, and you become more confident as a result.

Streamline your life

If you can manage the first two tips, this one will come naturally. You need to stop doing too much. Everyone does things they don’t need to and waste time. Time is a precious commodity, and you need to focus it on the areas of your life that are the most fulfilling. If that means cutting people and ties out of your life, so be it. If you feel that way, these people do nothing to enhance your life anyway. Many people and their opinions are detrimental to yourself. Keep the people that bring you up and say goodbye, at least symbolically to the ones that don’t. In addition, think about better ways you can do household tasks, like are you one for making a lot of trips to the corner store. You should try and get everything you need in one supermarket shop. This will save you time for more important things. Having more time for you and the family, and getting rid of negativity will change your sense of self-worth, and cause you to be more relaxed.

Fix up your image

This can mean a lot of different things, but if you look better, you will feel better and have more confidence. Since you now have more time, get out, and do some exercise. Go jogging a few times a week that will help you lose those few extra pounds. Exercise is a natural mood enhancer too. It makes the body less stressed, and it floods your system with endorphins. If jogging is not for you, why not go walking. In fact, you could invest in a puppy here so you will always have a walking partner. Not only that, dogs have a way of bringing joy and happiness into anyone’s life. Think about your diet too, swap sugary foods for fruit and vegetables. Go out and purchase a new wardrobe of clothes. A little bit of retail therapy will be great. Go get a new haircut and facial. There are many ways you fix up your image. It is up to you.

Stop doubting yourself

When you realize that your thoughts have traveled down a certain negative route, have a word with yourself. Stop and think, how have I got here? Why do I think I can’t do this or that? A lot of mental issues people have is to do with an inability to analyze their own thoughts. You are a master of your own mind, and if you think negatively, you will be depressed. Swap those ‘I can’ts’ to ‘I cans’, and you will start to feel more confident. It all starts and ends with you. No one can tell you what to think. So if you want to have confidence, you need to start taking control of how you think.

Important Health Checks You Shouldn’t Overlook

Many of us wait until we feel ill to see a doctor. However, there’s no need to wait until you you’re unwell to see someone about your health. There are health checks that you should have carried out to help pick up on any problems before they become more obvious. This is especially important as you get older because your risk of developing a number of different illnesses and health conditions rises as you age. Once you reach 50, there are many health checks and tests that can help you stay on top of your health and catch any problems earlier.

Cancer Screening

There are many different types of cancer, and several of them become more of a risk as you get older. Some cancers should be screened for when you’re a younger adult, such as cervical cancer and testicular cancer. However, as you get older, there are various other cancers which are more common. These include breast cancer, bowel cancer, and prostate cancer. There are different screening tests that pick up on different types of cancer. For example, a mammogram is designed to detect signs of breast cancer. Prostate cancer can now be detected with a blood test. It’s also a good idea to check your skin and keep an eye on moles for signs of skin cancer.

Blood Pressure Tests

Your blood pressure can be an indicator of your health in a number of ways. If it’s too high (hypertension) or too low (hypotension) is could mean there’s a problem or it can increase your risk of developing several problems. High blood pressure can put you at risk of heart attack, heart failure, stroke and kidney disease. It might also be linked to some types of dementia. Your blood pressure can be checked at any time and any age. It involves a cuff around your arm, which will inflate to measure your blood pressure. They’re usually digital these days, but they can sometimes be manually pumped up too.

Health Checks for Your Heart

Measuring your blood pressure will help to pick up on any problems that could cause heart issues. There are other ways to test the health of your heart too, from simple things you can do yourself to tests your doctor or a nurse can carry out. You can check your pulse on your own using a watch with a second hand or digital watch/timer. Your doctor can also measure your pulse, often with a small device placed on your finger, as well as listen to your heart with a stethoscope. Blood tests can check your heart health too by checking for signs of kidney and liver failure, which can be signs of heart failure.

Eye Tests

Getting your eyes tested is something that you should do throughout your life. You could find that you need glasses at any point, and your eyesight can get worse or sometimes better at any time. There are also various eye conditions that can affect you, especially as you get older. Eye tests can even pick up on some signs of other health conditions, from brain tumors to diabetes. An eye test every two years is usually recommended, and some people might benefit from having them more often.

Hearing Tests

As well as testing the health of your eyes, it’s a good idea to get your hearing checked too. While people are often great at keeping up with routine eye tests, getting our hearing tested isn’t something that we do as often. It’s most important as you get older, but also if you notice any problems with your hearing. As hearing test will pick up any hearing loss by checking the functioning of your ears and the sounds that you are able to register. Hearing tests consist of several different parts, including a physical examination of the ear, a pure tone test that consists of different tones being played into the ear, and a speech test.

Cholesterol and Blood Glucose Tests

Checking your cholesterol is something you should do if you’re over 40, take cholesterol-reducing medication, are overweight, have a condition that can raise your cholesterol (such as high blood pressure) or there is a history of cardiovascular disease in your family. High cholesterol levels can increase your risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as heart attack and stroke. Testing your blood glucose (blood sugar) levels is also a good idea, helping to pick up on signs of diabetes and other conditions.

Routine health checks can help you to detect problems with your health before they have a chance to develop further or cause more issues. Talk to your doctor about which checks you should be having.

How To Stop Workplace Wrongdoings Halting Your Career

Pixabay CC0 License

The workplace is one of the last places where you expect to fall victim to wrongdoings. However, the harsh reality is that you spend upwards of 40 hours of each week on-site, in the office, or in the field. Naturally, then, millions of employees and contracts are hit by problems in the work arena every single year.

Wrongdoing can include injuries gained due to negligence. Or it may come from identity theft, and wrongful sackings. When those situations occur, it can be tempting to wave the white flag. However, you needn’t let it define you. Here’s why:

Financial Compensation Lets You Focus On Getting Back On Track

Any employee or contractor that has suffered an injury will know that it can be very hard to resume your progress. One of the main reasons for this is due to the financial fallout that a temporary loss of earnings can bring.

Fighting for your financial justice is essential, because it buys back a little freedom. You already face enough challenges during rehab from an injury, and mustn’t allow financial elements to make the situation worse. This can extend to the issues that follow the injury too, including medical negligence from professional teams. Either way, you should be the last person made to suffer.

Financial security through this difficult phase of your life allows you to focus on the recovery. You can also focus on the next steps needed to resume or progress the career.

Broken Reputations Can Be Fixed

Wrongdoings can be as simple as taking the blame for something that wasn’t your fault. It doesn’t matter whether your reputation within the company or the wider industry has been incorrectly damaged. You can repair the situation.

When something is posted online, you can defend yourself with comments. Alternatively, you can ask for a press release or internal company notification. Likewise, slander can be fought in courts or through seeking a retracted statement. Whatever happens, you can forgive yourself, and others can too. Setting the record straight is essential and will allow you to keep your career on the intended trajectory.

Hearing negative things about yourself is never easy, but you needn’t take it to heart. Just be sure to seek the corrections needed to clear your name with clients and future employers.

Your Current Employer Isn’t The Only Option

There are many situations that may make you want to quit the company. Perhaps your employer hasn’t taken your complaints about workplace bullying seriously. Or maybe you aren’t impressed with the way that your boss treats you.

It could be something as simple as not getting the pay rise you deserve. Either way, there are plenty of other companies on the market looking for talented and driven candidates. So, if settling the issues at your current place of work isn’t viable, look elsewhere. Invest in building a better resume and application. There are opportunities out there, but you need to chase them.

Finally, you could always consider the prospect of going self-employed or starting a small business. Either way, there is no need to feel trapped.

Amwell Medical Doctor – Online

I love this time of year, spending time with family and friends and traveling. This week kicked off our first dinner and as usual, I woke up sick. I suffer from chronic sinusitis so every time the fall season starts I get sick. The issue I always have it literally no time to deal with it!

Fortunately, I have found a quick solution to my busy schedule. I love using the Amwell Urgent Care, it is quick and works great for my sinus issues. Right now an appointment with a doctor is on $69.00 if you Click Here and use the code: Amwell25 you can save 25% off! The appointments are quick yet really through.

So, I was able to jump online and within 20 minutes have a video meeting with the doctor and the best part….  have prescriptions called into my local pharmacist. The ability to have an urgent care readily available whenever needed regardless of where I am or what time it is has been such a blessing. So when I do travel, I do not have to worry about if I get sick!

In addition, I found out they take my insurance! I am super excited, I can get seen quickly, pay only my deductible and never miss a beat.

I chose to use my laptop, although you can use a tablet or even your phone. I signed in, filled out the information, which was WAY shorter than all of the information you have to fill out at the doctor’s office and clicked on what services I needed.

I was given a step by step instruction screen of how to download and launch the video page. After that you wait for your turn, mine only took about 15 minutes and then my visit started. The physician was thorough asking me about my prior issues then asking me all about my symptoms. I was amazed at the amount of knowledge he had and how quickly he was able to decipher if my issue was bacterial or viral. He was able to decide what I needed, send it in to be filled and give me other suggestions to what will help me get better.

You May Not Always Find Your Medication in Your Own Country

When a doctor prescribes you a certain course of medications, it’s always best to follow their advice. However, you may have trouble finding the exact medicine you require for a price that will fit comfortably within your budget. There are many reasons why this should, unfortunately, be the case. The local pharmacy you deal with may be out of this medication or the manufacturer may have jacked up the price considerably in response to rising demand. If this is the case, your options for finding this medication in your own country may become considerably slimmer.

If You Want the Best Price for Medicine, Look on the Web

The best way to get around the lack of affordable medication in your country is to make use of the world wide web. There are many cases in which you will be able to instantly locate the medication you need from a pharmacy in Canada. Of course, it’s probably not practical to drive 1,000 miles to this pharmacy to pick up what you need in person. But you don’t need to. All you have to do is make an account with a web pharmacy in Canada. Once you have done so, you can quickly and easily order the medications you need for a price that you can easily afford.

The Time to Establish an Online Pharmacy Account is Now

If you have been at a loss to find affordable medications in your country, the time to adopt the online alternative is now. You can usually find the medications that your doctor prescribes to you at a fraction of what they would cost in your own country. All you have to do is use your online account to order them. They will arrive in a few days and your healing process will begin. There is no time like the present to adopt this excellent new solution to the pressing problem of rising medication prices. It’s a win/win proposition for all parties involved.

HemRid Review

This is a sponsored post from tomoson.com, however, these are my own personal thoughts and opinions.

HemRid

Everyone deals with pains in their life. Back pain, knee pain, and headaches are just some of the most common. But a pain that I have been dealing with for some time now is a “rear-end” pain, or more commonly known as hemorrhoids. I noticed that while sitting one day that I was in extreme discomfort and that discomfort grew to a full on pain in my rear, literally. Hemorrhoids are when you’re your veins in your rectum flare up and become swollen. Under normal circumstances, it can happen when you strain during bowel movements but in my case, it came on after pregnancy. There’s nothing more irritating either than an itch that you can’t scratch because of the pain it causes. I tried the normal stuff of ointments, cold presses, and wet wipes but nothing seemed to relieve it fully. I really didn’t want to go to the doctor for a prescription, partially because of the money and partially because my doctor is also a close family friend, and I really didn’t want my business to be more than me, myself, and I. So, I went looking for a cost-effective, private way to deal with my personal issues and that brought me HemRid.

HemRid is an average size pill that you take once a day to relieve the itching, burning, and pain that is caused by hemorrhoids. I noticed relief from the horrible effects of hemorrhoids gives in just a couple days. Not only did I find relief fast, I noticed it lasted a long time. With this pill having a longtime effect, I won’t have to stress about getting any more hemorrhoids. However, if I happen to get one I know I can find fast relief for the pain in my rear with HemRid. #hemrid
