You’re having a hearing hallucination but you’re still hearing real noises too. This is called Tinnitus as the strange buzzing or ringing noise you constantly hear is partially biological and partially mental. It’s not that uncommon but it’s not all that common either, and it’s even sometimes temporary. The noise feels like it’s coming from the inside of your head and sometimes it’s right in the base of your ear.
