The Best Macaroni and Cheese Recipe Ever!

So growing up my mom made a bunch of stuff I loved to eat! But my favorite was her homemade macaroni and cheese! This is so smooth and oozes with chees.  Everyone who has tried it loves it. I get asked to make it at most events. It is fairly easy to make and for a NON baker, I love how easy it is to put together.


I can’t wait to get together for Thanksgiving with my family and make this. My adult children and now grand children all love this recipe.  This gave me a great idea for a Christmas gift to my adult children.  I asked my mom to write some of her recipes to share with them this year so they will not only have it, but have it in their grandmothers handwriting!

So I had to find them all a recipe box to start adding their own recipes to enjoy and hopefully one day for their own grand children.


1 cup mayonnaise
1 small jar chopped pimiento
1 small onion, grated or chopped fine
1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
1 can mushroom soup
1 Tsp. salt & Pepper
Cook 8 oz. pkg. macaroni (1 1/2 cups dry macaroni). Mix with rest of ingredients. Brown crushed Ritz crackers in melted butter
Spread over casserole. Bake in 350 degrees in oven until hot and crackers brown.
